Croconile Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 13, 2026
Last Updated: October 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Croconile.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Croconile platform, operated by Croconile LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.

Croconile is a professional work-intelligence platform designed to help individuals document their work, showcase professional contributions, collaborate with others, and discover professional capabilities.

Our services include:

  • WorkCard™ — Documents individual professional contributions, responsibilities, solutions, and outcomes.
  • DepthCard™ — Brings together individual contributions and shared project outcomes.
  • Croconile Profile™ — Displays professional experience, published work, and work intelligence.
  • Signal Space™ — Supports professional discovery through structured work intelligence.

By creating an account or using Croconile, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Croconile.

By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal authority to accept these Terms.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information.
  • Maintain the security of your login credentials.
  • Keep your professional information reasonably accurate.
  • Use your account only for authorized purposes.
  • Notify Croconile of suspected unauthorized account access.

You are responsible for activities conducted through your account, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be assigned to you.

Croconile may restrict or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or threaten platform security.

3. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the original content you submit to Croconile, to the extent you own the applicable intellectual property rights.

This includes your original professional narratives, project descriptions, and other content submitted through WorkCards and related platform features.

Submitting or publishing content does not transfer ownership of that content to Croconile.

By submitting content, you grant Croconile a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, and provide the platform's features, consistent with your applicable visibility settings and our Privacy Policy.

This license includes creating AI-assisted summaries, professional classifications, and associated DepthCards.

You represent that you own or have obtained the necessary rights to submit and authorize the use of your content.

You must not upload confidential employer information, trade secrets, copyrighted material, or third-party personal information without appropriate authorization.

Croconile retains ownership of its platform technology, software, designs, branding, trademarks, and proprietary systems. This includes Croconile's rights in its WorkCard™, DepthCard™, Croconile Profile™, and Signal Space™ branding, subject to applicable intellectual property laws.

Croconile does not claim ownership of your underlying professional experience or independently owned intellectual property.

4. Collaborations, Public Content, and AI

Collaborations

Croconile allows multiple individuals to document contributions to shared projects.

Each contributor is responsible for the accuracy and authorization of the information they submit.

Published WorkCards may be associated with shared DepthCards that summarize collaborative work.

Once contributors have joined an established collaboration and their published WorkCards are linked to the same DepthCard, the platform may restrict unilateral removal or detachment of those established relationships.

These restrictions protect the continuity of the shared project record and do not eliminate applicable privacy, intellectual property, or legal rights.

Deletion or correction requests involving shared content may require consideration of other contributors' rights.

Public Content

When you publish a WorkCard or make your Croconile Profile public, selected professional information may become accessible to other users, recruiters, organizations, or the general public.

You are responsible for reviewing your content before publication.

Croconile does not guarantee that publicly disclosed information can be removed from external search engines or third-party copies.

Artificial Intelligence

Croconile uses artificial intelligence to assist with writing, summarization, classification, professional discovery, and DepthCard synthesis.

AI-generated information may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying content you submit or publish, including AI-assisted content.

Croconile does not guarantee that AI-generated summaries, classifications, or professional insights are complete, accurate, or suitable for employment or other consequential decisions.

Rights in AI-generated output depend on applicable law and any underlying rights in the content used to generate it. These Terms do not transfer ownership of independently owned user content to Croconile.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Create false identities or impersonate another individual.
  • Misrepresent professional experience, achievements, or contributions.
  • Submit fraudulent or deliberately misleading WorkCards.
  • Publish confidential, proprietary, or third-party information without authorization.
  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or exploit other users.
  • Violate intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
  • Introduce malware or interfere with platform operations.
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract platform data without authorization.
  • Abuse AI features, automated systems, or platform resources.
  • Use Croconile for unlawful activities.

Croconile may investigate reported violations and remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or take other appropriate action.

Users may report suspected violations to support@croconile.com.

6. Account Termination and Data

You may request closure of your Croconile account by contacting support@croconile.com or using an available account-deletion feature.

Croconile may suspend or terminate access when users materially violate these Terms, misuse the platform, create security risks, or engage in unlawful conduct.

Where reasonably appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to address violations before termination.

Account termination does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of all information.

Certain information may be retained to satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, or protect the rights of collaborators.

Collaborative DepthCards may contain contributions from multiple individuals, and requests involving shared records will be handled in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

The provisions concerning intellectual property, lawful content licenses, liability, disputes, and other terms intended to survive termination will continue to apply as necessary.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Croconile is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We strive to operate a reliable platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free functionality, or the accuracy of user-generated or AI-generated information.

Croconile does not independently verify every professional claim submitted by users.

The platform is not a certification authority and does not guarantee employment, recruitment outcomes, professional qualifications, or business opportunities.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Croconile LLC and its officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Croconile LLC's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the services will not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid Croconile for the services during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • US $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or restricts non-waivable consumer or privacy rights.

8. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.

Subject to mandatory legal requirements, disputes arising from these Terms or use of Croconile will be brought before courts of competent jurisdiction located in Wyoming.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we encourage users to contact support@croconile.com to seek an informal resolution.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer protection or privacy laws.

9. Changes to Terms and Contact

Croconile may update these Terms to reflect changes in our platform, services, legal obligations, or business operations.

We will update the "Last Updated" date and provide additional notice where required by law. Material changes will not apply retroactively where prohibited by law.

Continued use of the platform after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where legally permitted. Where additional consent is required, we will request it.
